One of the best discussions we’ve ever had at DMCC Page Turners was our latest program with the multi prize-winning authors Marisa Silver and Lisa Fugard (who has the additional distinction of being my writing teacher of over 20 years). I introduced the authors and joined the discussion. With Lisa’s expert moderation, Marisa brought to life her fascinating novel, At Last, about the intricate relationship between two very different women as they attempt to share a troubled grandchild. While this story may not sound like a thriller, it is mesmerizing and an absolute page turner. I highly recommend it for its unusual and profound insights into the complexity of women’s evolving relationships. The novel is also beautifully written.
